The academic article "The Necessity of Torque Limiter in the Configuration of Permanent Magnet Integrated Motor Driven Scraper Conveyor" co-authored by General Manager Sun and Technical General Manager Huang has been successfully published in the 6th issue of Intelligent Mining in 2025. The article delves into the crucial role of the torque limiter in the configuration of permanent magnet integrated motor driven scraper conveyor, that is, the necessity of mechanical protection. Through a carefully designed flywheel simulation experimental device, the significant improvement in equipment performance after the installation of the torque limiter is intuitively demonstrated. The experimental results show that the impact torque is reduced by 82%, which strongly proves that the torque limiter can absorb impact kinetic energy and accurately limit the transmitted torque through the friction slipping mechanism, thereby effectively avoiding common failures such as chain breakage and gear tooth breakage. The analysis concludes that the configuration of the torque limiter in the permanent magnet integrated motor drive system is an essential measure to improve the reliability of the scraper conveyor, providing extremely valuable reference for equipment optimization and technological improvement in the industry.
